Two Sisters Bar and Books was born on a train, as my
sister and I traveled between Krakow and Warsaw. It was inspired by: an incredible bookstore in Krakow; a quintessential coffeehouse in Vienna; a neighborhood
bar in Paris; the young, urban, do-it-yourself restaurant
scene in Brooklyn; and our Northern California roots. We
imagined creating a space that housed all of our favorite
amusements, and that communicated our feeling with each
other – comforting, welcoming, accepting and inspiring.
Now, several years later, and with the help and hard work
of family and friends, Two Sisters Bar and Books is a
reality. Two Sisters is a warm, loving space where there
is always time to linger over a classic cocktail or a
delightful cup of coffee, nosh on a well-crafted dish,
and share our love of all things literary. Our mission
is to create a space that nourishes and feeds our community
and ourselves – a space where neighbors and strangers
alike feel like family.
